This article is about the properties owned by Evans Kidero in Kenya. He served as the first governor of Nairobi from 2013 – 2017.
He was defeated in 2017 elections by Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
Properties owned by Evans Kidero are valued at Ksh. 1.2 billion. They were amassed between 1985 and 2012 from various sources of revenues. After graduating from University of Nairobi, he was employed as a production pharmacist. This was pensions, salaries, rents, bonuses and stocks.
He held shares at least in eight companies such as Gem Apartments Limited, Lake-view Apartments Limited, Gem Villas Ltd and Gemsuites Ltd among others.
He owns shares in Family Bank Ltd and Radio Africa. He revealed that he earned Ksh. 15.5 million from salaries between 1989 and 1991.
He is now vying to become the Homa Bay Governor on an independent ticket.
