Blacks, Asians and Minority Ethnic (BAME) in the United Kingdom are dying at a higher rate than that of whites. This is according to the Institute of Fiscal Studies based in England.
The BAME are 3.7 times likely to die than the whites. The report covered Black Carribean, Black African, Pakistani, India, White and Bangladesh.
Another research conducted in the United States found the same results. For instance in Chicago, officials have estimated that 72% of the deaths were blacks.
Some of the reasons why people from minority groups are dying at higher rates include underlying medical conditions and they are more vulnerable economically than their white counterparts.
The Institute also indicates that most of the BAME work in industries which have been crossed such as taxi and hospitality.
