Woman from Sengwer indigenous peoples salvages the remains of her household goods after houses were burnt in Malon, Sengwer territory.
“Really as Sengwer community we suffered so much, Pokots attacking us in the upper side Kapkok glades, Marakwets in the lower glades, that is Kaptirpai and Koropwen and KFS in both glades…what have we done as Sengwer Community to the government and our neighbors really?” complains a member of the Sengwer community.
More houses belonging to Sengwer indigenous peoples were burnt yesterday at 2:00 am.
We call upon those oppressing the Sengwer indigenous peoples to stop and desist. It is a human rights violation.
