Raheem Sterling will not take part in England’s 2020 Euro Qualifier against Montenegro following a bust up with Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.
The two are said to have involved in a confrontation at England’s training base in St Georges Park.
The incident is said to have been sparked by Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Manchester City over the weekend at Anfield. Liverpool and Manchester City are bitter Premier League Rivals.

England team mates had to separate the pair who clashed late in Sunday’s fixture that left Liverpool 8 points clear at the top.
England just need a point to qualify for the Euro 2020.
Sterling will however remain with the England squad but the Football Association statement issued confirmed that he will not play against Montenegro.
‘’The FA can confirm that Raheem Sterling will not be considered for Thursday’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro at Wembley as a result of a disturbance in a private team area at St George’s Park today. He will remain with the squad.’’ The statement read.
England manager Gareth Southgate added: ‘’We have taken the decision not to consider Raheem for the match against Montenegro on Thursday.’’
The 24 year old put a good performance against his former club Liverpool on Sunday. However, city succumbed to defeat as goals from Fabinho, Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane rendered Bernado Silva’s goal meaningless.
After clash with Montenegro, England will face Kosovo on Sunday at Pristina.
Raheem Sterling has admitted emotions got better part of him in the bust up with Gomez. In an Instagram post, Sterling said it was time to move on.
‘’First and foremost, everyone knows what that game means to me. Everyone knows that I am not that way inclined and more to the point. Both Joe and I have had words and figured things out and moved on. We are in a sport where emotions run high and I am a man enough to admit when emotions got the better of me. Let’s focus on our game on Thursday.’’
