Emre Can will join Borussia Dortmund from Juventus in July in a deal that runs to 2024, the German club have announced.
The Germany International initially moved to Dortmund in January on a loan deal that runs until the end of the current season.
The 26-year-old scored on his debut in a 4-3 loss to Bayer Leverkusen and started last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt.
A statement read on Borussia Dortmund’s website:’’Bundesliga club Dormund have reached an agreement with Italian record champions Juventus over the transfer of Germany International Emre Can.’’
The former Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich is back in Germany for the first time in six years after spells with Premier League side Liverpool and Serie A giants Juventus.
In his first season at Juventus, Can made 29 appearances for Juve under Massimiliano Allegri. He however slipped down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri following the arrivals of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot. He was left out of the Juventus Champions League squad and has now left Juve permanently.
