The University of Nairobi is the most preferred source of new staff by Kenyan employers, says a study by CPS international.

Kenyatta University comes second at 30%, Moi University (25), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) 19, Egerton University (18), Maseno University (18) and Technical University at 10%.
The top five private universities in terms of graduate employability are Mount Kenya University (18), United States International University (USIU) 6, KCA (6), Strathmore (5.8) and Agha Khan University at 4.8 %.
CPS international is a marketing and social research firm. Its study surveyed 67 Universities between November 2019 and January 2020.
The results of the study are contained in the report titled ‘state of graduate employability in Kenya’
“For every 10 jobs available, eight are likely to be taken up by public university graduates, especially those from the University of Nairobi, while the other two will likely go to private institutions like Mt Kenya,” the report says.
