Elon Musk has plans to remove the block feature on X (formerly Twitter). This means that users will not be able to block other users on Twitter.
The block feature allowed users to block others from viewing or responding to their posts.
Now blocking will only be available for direct messages which are also known as DMs. This will allow users to determine who can contact them directly.

In its place, users will use the mute button. When a user mutes, it prevents users from appearing on the user’s timeline. However, it will still be possible for the muted users to still view the content of the user who muted them.
