Today I’m at Eldoret International Airport in Uasin Gishu County. It’s my second time officially coming to Eldoret (locally referred to as Eldy) and this time round I got a glimpse of what the town looks like. I’m told Eldy is supposed to become Kenya’s 4th city after Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.
Eldoret International Airport was officially opened on 7th October, 1998 by the then President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. This is info according to a plaque at the airport.
