Scientists have discovered a new type of eel in the waters of Amazon basin a eel that produces 860 volts for self defense against predators.
This means that the new eel species can produce seven times the amount of electricity produced by an electric power output.
Researchers further indicated that there are three species of electric eels in the Amazon region.
Now there are two new species. These are Electrophorus Varii and Electrophorus Voltai.
This new type of eel grows up to 6 -8 feet long.
