Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that goalkeeper Ederson will start in Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final match against Arsenal as Claudio Bravo has a muscle problem.
Ederson, who is City’s number one for the Premier League and the Champions League has been used as a backup to Bravo in the FA cup and the EFL Cup this term.
However, the Chilean international has not been fit enough to be named among substitutes in City’s previous two Premier League matches.
”He is going to play, Eddie, because Claudio is a little bit injured,” Guardiola said at a media conference on Friday.
”In the last games he was not on the bench because he has a little bit of muscular problem. Not a big one, but he is not able to play tomorrow.”
