Dynamo Dresden, who play in Bundesliga 2, have put the entire squad and staff into 14-days isolation at home after two players tested positive for coronavirus.
Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are to restart on 16th May. The games are to be played without spectators.
Dresden were due to play Hannover away on 17th May but the entire squad and coaching staff must go into 14 days of quarantine at home.
‘’We are in contact with the responsible health authorities and the league [German Football League] to coordinate all further steps,’’ Said Ralf Minge, the Dresden Sporting Director.
‘’The fact is that we can neither train nor participate in any games for the next 14 days.’’ He added.
Dresden returned to full team training on Thursday.
Dresden did not name the affected players. This was the third round of tests conducted at the club on Friday as part of the hygiene protocol to get football back underway in Germany.
In the first round of tests carried out last weekend, one Dresden player tested positive for Covid-19 and has been in quarantine since. No positive cases were reported in the second round on 4th May.
Dresden are botton of the Bundesliga 2 table with 24 points after 25 matches.
