Coronavirus cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo have passed the 1,000 mark with the capital, Kinshasa, being the hotspot of infections.
The virus has already spread to 7 out of 26 provinces in the country.
The health authorities say the total confirmed cases in DR Congo is now 1024 cases, with Kinshasa accounting for 938 cases.
The first coronavirus case DR Congo was reported on March 10.
President Felix Tshisekedi declared a state of health emergency on 24th March to curb the virus.
Both Parliament Houses approved the extension of the state of health emergency in the country for another 15 days last week.
