The United Democratic association flag-bearer for the presidential seat William Ruto congratulates his deputy Gachagua after standing in solidarity during the debate that was held at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
The congrats were made though twitter by the DP saying,“Congratulations Rigathi Gachagua, my very able running mate. Kenyans are confident that in you, we have a seasoned, passionate and focused leader to help us steer Kenya Kwanza to victory and the nation to prosperity.”

At the debate he was battling with the Azimio Kenya one Deputy President Martha Karua. She on the other hand said that Gachagua was hand picked by the DP and not by nomination for the Deputy position.
Gachagua on the other side said that the priority of the United Democratic Association(UDA) is to up lift the low income earners in the county, who are being regarded as hustlers.
Martha said that the monthly ksh6000 that will be issued to 2 million Kenyans by the Azimio regime is to provide basic needs for those who are already struggling.
