It was soooo sad to see over 100 Mathari mental Hospital patients escaping the facility because doctors were away on strike. They jumped from the roof and walked away. I wonder whether the security guards were also away or is it the doctors who take care of those patients. This is not a laughing matter.
I am of the opinion that ideally doctors should be paid more than politicians. This may motivate most of our lazy politicians to seek for green pasture in the field of medicine. Will it be that way? Maybe.
A number of sources KTN News included have claimed that the great boxer Conjestina Achieng was among those patients who escaped from Mathari Mental Hospital.
