Didmus Barasa, a member of parliament elected during general elections held in Kenya on Tuesday 9th has surrendered to police.
He allegedly shot dead an aide of his opponent, Brian Khaemba, at the polling station. The two were witnessing the counting of votes in the station.
The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji ordered the arrest of Barasa after he went missing and turned off his phone.
Brian Olunga, the aide, died on the arrival at the hospital. Barasa has been in hideout since Tuesday.
