Diamond Platnumz has officially been banned from performing in his home country, Tanzania.
Diamond Platnumz was banned after he performed a “sexually suggestive song” titled Mwanza.

The song Mwanza has a Swahili word which means “horny” and has dancers who are making stimulating sex movements.
The authorities have always accused Diamond of indecent behaviour. In April, Diamond posted a video clip on IG showing himself kissing a woman in a playful manner.
BASATA, Tanzania’s arts regulator added that Diamond will not be allowed to perform outside the country. For the later it is a wait-and-see since its enforcement may be a challenge.
Rayvanny, another Tanzanian Musical who was featured in Mwanza music video is also banned from performing in Tanzania and abroad.
Diamond is famous for promoting Bongo Flava, a form of Hop Hop in Tanzania.
The song, Mwanza, had accumulated 5.4 million views on YouTube by time time we went into press.
In a video shared online recently, Diamond has hinted that he may emigrate abroad if Basata continues banning his music.
“If they don’t want me to perform my songs I can live in another country and play there. If Tanzanian law says I can’t perform here, I can go to Kenya where I am not banned,” said Diamond Platnumz.
