The Health Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo has confirmed that 101 inmates have tested positive for Coronavirus in N’dolo Military Prison.
Only 3 infected inmates have been admitted to hospital outside the prison. Six inmates are under close supervision at the facility while the rest have mild symptoms.
Authorities have confirmed that three wings of the prison were disinfected on Monday.
As of Monday DR Congo had confirmed 682 coronavirus cases, with the virus claiming 34 lives.
