RB Leipzig have announced that defender Dayot Upamecano has signed a new contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, Dayot Upamecano, has extended his contract, which was due to expire next year, until 2023.
The French centre-back had been linked with top European clubs including Arsenal and Barcelona.
Dayot Upamecano’s new contract includes a release clause of €50M.
Dayot Upamecano joined RB Leipzig in 2017 from RB Salzburg. He has made 111 appearances for Leipzig.
Julian Nagelsmann’s finished third in the Bundesliga, 16 points behind champions Bayern.
Finishing third means Leipzig qualified for the Champions League football in the upcoming season.
Leipzig remain in the competition in 2019-20 season, with a quarter-final clash against Atletico Madrid awaiting them next month.
