Manchester United duo Paul Pogba and David De Gea are set to miss this weekend’s Premier League Clash due to injuries.
Goalkeeper David De Gea was injured during Spain’s 1-1 draw with Sweden in the Euro Qualifiers on Tuesday. De Gea appeared to suffer a groin injury. This means that De Gea’s deputy Sergio Romero could start against Liverpool.
Paul Pogba suffered an ankle injury and has only played twice for Manchester United in September. He has been in Dubai training in warm weather to recover and will be watching from the stands on Sunday when Liverpool visit Old Trafford. Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already confirmed that Paul Pogba will miss the mouth-watering clash at Old Trafford.
‘’He has no chance’’ Said Solskjaer of Paul Pogba’s hopes of playing on Sunday.
However, Antony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are set to return on Sunday after injuries kept them out of the team for some time.
Manchester United are currently at 12th position in the Premier League table with 9 points after 8 games. They are 15 points behind Liverpool, who are 8 points clear on top. Liverpool have earned maximum number of points after winning all their games this season.
