Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church has called for the sharing of the Covid-19 vaccine with the rest of the world. He has called upon global scientific cooperation towards creating a cure or a vaccine for the virus.
Pope Francis was speaking from the papal library based in Vatican. He was delivering his Sunday Service address early on Sunday.
Pope Francis sincerely thanked all people around the world provide the essential services during the pandemic.
“In fact, it is important to unite scientific capabilities, in a transparent and impartial way to find vaccines and treatments,” said Pope Francis in his address.
”It is also important to guarantee universal access to essential technologies that allow each infected person, in every part of the world, to receive the necessary medical treatment,” he added.
So far, Covid-19 has approximately 3.5 million people and 240,000 people have died all over the world.
