The Court of Appeal has suspended DCI boss George Kinoti’s four-month jail sentence at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison pending the ruling on his application on 1 April, 2022.
George Kinoti was sentenced by the High Court of Kenya for failing to release a cache of guns confiscated from Nairobi businessman Jimmy Wanjigi’s home during a raid in 2017.
George Kinoti argued through his lawyer Cecile Miller that the confiscation was conducted by his predecessor Ndegwa Muhoro and they were handed over to the guns licensing board.
