International Football Association Board (IFAB) introduced the law amendment last month to take care of players’ welfare.
The rule-making body made the alterations to ease the strain on players returning to action following a hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Many games are expected to be played in a condensed period.
Each team will be allowed to make five changes but it will only have three opportunities to do so. This is aimed at reducing disruption to the game. Â
The Italian Serie A is set to resume on June 20, more than 3 months after the League was suspended due to Coronavirus pandemic.
