Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium will be used to store medical equipment to help in fighting COVID -19, the club have confirmed.
The Spanish La liga was suspended in a bid to slow the spread of Coronavirus.
More than 55,000 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Spain with over 4,000 deaths connected with the virus but Real Madrid are helping the response.
Real Madrid are working closely with Spain’s National Sports Council to supply and distribute strategic medical supplies.
The 81,000 capacity Bernabeu will provide space for donated medical supplies as the club facilitates the donations to the Ministry of Health.
Real Madrid sit 2nd in the Spanish Laliga table with 56 points after 27 matches.
