England men’s Head Coach Gareth Southgate and Women’s boss Phil Neville have agreed to take a 30% pay cut to their salaries as two of FA’s highest earning employees.
Chief Executive Mark Bullingham said it was ‘’challenging times’’ and did not ‘’take these decisions lightly’’.
The FA also confirmed that employees earning £50,000 or more annually will take a pay cut of 7.5% while senior management agreed a 15% cut.
Bullingham also talked of the financial impact of postponement of games including FA Cup matches, Wembley events and England International fixtures will contribute a loss of about £100M but it could increase to £150M depending on the government’s necessary medical measures.
‘’We want to take prudent and appropriate steps to help protect and support the FA and our employees during this unpredictable time. ‘’ He added.
Meanwhile, AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and Brighton boss Graham potter have already taken voluntary pay cuts.
