According to data from the John Hopkins University, the US death toll stands at 100,276.
The US is leading in the number of fatalities, while its 1.69Million confirmed cases account for about 30% of the worldwide total.
The first case was confirmed in Washington State on 21st January.
5.6 Million cases have been recorded as infected globally and 354, 983 deaths are connected with the virus since its emergence in Chinese City of Wuhan last year.
The US states are reopening with nearly 39 million Americans out of work due to the pandemic. The pandemic has greatly affected the economy.
All the states have begun to relax coronavirus restrictions in some form.
