Cameroon has recorded a rise in coronavirus cases after schools reopened on Monday, the BBC reports.
The country recorded 254 new cases on Monday and 188 new cases on Tuesday.
The Cameroon government said it had put safety measures to protect learners including provision of hand sanitisers and cleaning of classrooms.
University students and final year students who resumed were keeping social distance in their classes.
Some teachers had expressed concerns over reporting back to school due to rising of coronavirus cases.
More than 6,500 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Cameroon with the virus claiming 200 lives.
