Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter, Chief Executive Paul Barber and technical director Dan Ashworth have all taken pay cut for the next three months.
The trio have taken ‘significant’ voluntary pay cut but no decision has been taken on whether to furlough any of Brighton’s staff.
Chief Executive Paul Barber said: ‘’It is entirely appropriate that we play a very small part in reducing the financial burden.’’
‘’We have seen our income literally disappear overnight.’’
AFC Bournemouth Head Coach Eddie Howe became the first manager in England’s top-flight to take a voluntary pay cut during the ongoing COVID – 19 epidemic.
Newcastle United, Spurs, Bournemouth and Norwich City will be using the government’s job retention scheme.
Championship side Leeds United have already volunteered to take a wage deferral.
In Europe, Juventus players and Head Coach Maurizio Sarri came to an agreement to go for four months without pay. FC Barcelona players have also taken a 70% pay cut.
