The DFL has confirmed that the affected persons have been isolated.
FC Koln had no further Coronavirus infections after 3 people tested positive last week.
The German Bundesliga is set to become the first league in Europe to return to action. The league was halted in mid-March to minimize the spread of Covid – 19.
Chancellor Angela Merkel said that any decision on if and when sports activities could resume in the country will be taken on May 6th.
Players will be tested twice before being allowed to train and play.
‘’only players who have been tested negatively twice in succession are allowed to train and play.’’ Said FC Koln in a statement.
The DFL added: ‘’A second wave of tests will be carried out this week – here too there may be isolated positive test results, especially since one of the tasks of this second round is to reduce the likelihood of ‘false negative’ findings that never be completely ruled out.’’
