The Airbus A330-243 flying to Cancun, Mexico, from Frankfurt, landed at Shannon in Ireland.

Recent reports indicate that a flight with 326 passengers on board was forced to make an emergency landing after hot coffee spilt on the dashboard (control panel) by accident. When this happened the Airbus A330-243 was cruising over the Atlantic Ocean.

The Airbus A330-243 was heading to Cancun in Mexico from Frankfurt but forced landing was made in Ireland.

The hot coffee is reported to have caused a strong smell of electrical burning as well as smoke was seen rising from the panel in the Airbus A330-243.

This made the captain of Airbus A330-243 to divert his trip according to reports by the Air Accidents Investigations Branch.

This happened after a pilot left his coffee cup with no lid on a tray table instead of a cup holder.

No one was injured during the incident of Airbus A330-243 which took place in February. The report did not reveal the name of the airline.
