Coca-Cola recalls 13,152 cases of Minute Maid Lemonade in the United States of America for being mislabeled as “Zero Sugar”. Products shipped to Ohio, Indian and Kentucky are affected.
The recalled cases contained 40 grams of sugar in each bottle. Regular Minute Maid containing sugar was mislabeled as “Zero Sugar”.
The Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade contains 5 calories 0g of sugar and 2g of carbs.
Regular Minute maid is made up of 150 calories, 40 g of sugar and 42 g of carbs.
The mislabeling posed an health risk on people with diabetes.
The New York Post reported that Coca-Cola has confirmed that the affected products are no longer in the market. Customers are advised to return them for a full refund or throw them away.
