Birmingham City head coach Pep Clotet has left the club after Wednesday’s 3-1 loss to Swansea City.
The 43-year-old tactician Pep Clotet took charge of the club last year. He was previously an assistant head coach at the club.
Pep Clotet was to step down at the end of the current campaign but it was mutually agreed that he should leave the role immediately, the Championship side confirmed in a statement.
The loss to Swansea leaves Birmingham 17th in the Championship table, 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
4 rounds of games are remaining to finish the Championship season.
The club said in a statement: ”The board would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Pep for his efforts during the past two years.”
Birmingham’s next match is away to fellow strugglers Stoke on Sunday.
