China through Foreign Ministry announced termination of cooperation with the US. The suspension was triggered by controversial visit of Nancy Pelosi in Taiwan, a country China claims part of its territory.
China announced to retaliate if Pelosi visit the island, termination of cooperation is one of the counter measures against the visit.
China has been cooperating with the West in many dimensions that has come to a sudden stop.
Beijing suspended future relationship in military between them and US. Meaning their will be no future phone calls or meetings between defense leaders of the two countries. This indicates that annual naval meetings have been dismissed.
China also suspended cooperation with the west on repatriation of illegal immigrants, combat of transnational crimes and legal assistance on criminal matters.
Anti-drug cooperation with the US was also suspended. The cooperation was already not in good terms as the west blamed China for failing to put measures that led to synthetic opioids in the US.

It also suspended the climate change talks. Climate change has been the main challenge face by the entire world. It has led to drought and rise of greenhouse gas that has caused to global warming. The suspension of climate change talks will not only affect the two countries but the whole world.
“U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted on visiting Taiwan in disregard of China’s serious concerns and firm opposition, seriously interfering in China’s internal affairs, seriously undermining China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, seriously trampling on the one-China principle, and seriously threatening the peace and stability across Taiwan Strait,” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Friday.
