Chelsea have proposed a swap deal of Marcos Alonso plus £59m for Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona. They will hijack the deal after Manchester United reached an agreement of £72m for the star.
Despite de Jong persistent desire to remain at the club, the former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp said Frenkie might be convinced to join the Blues.
On the other hand, Barcelona want to sign Alonso, this means if de Jong is ready to join Chelsea, the swap deal will be perfect.
Marcos said goodbye to teammates in hope that he will join the LaLiga giants this weekend. Also, after the arrival of Marc Cucurella, his left wing-back position got competition.
