Scottish club Celtic has been fined £12,886(€15,000) by UEFA for displaying an illicit banner for their UEFA Europa League match against Italian Club Lazio at Celtic Park on October 24.

Celtic supporters displayed several banners ahead of the match, including one showing former Italian Prime Minister Benito Mussolini hanging upside down.
Another banner had a message in Italian translated to be ‘’f*** off’’.
Lazio fans responded by making ‘’illicit chants’’ as described by UEFA’s control, ethics and disciplinary body. This led to Lazio also being fined €10,000(£8,593)
In addition to that, Belgian side Club Brugge have been fined €14,000 for breaching safety regulations by blocking the stairways during their home UEFA Champions League clash with French club Paris Saint Germain last month. Paris Saint Germain set off fireworks in the same match and have been fined €50,000 and threatened with a one-match away ban for club supporters if they offend again in the next one year.
