Laliga Club Celta Vigo have sacked Head Coach Fran Escriba after losing 1-0 to Getafe on Sunday.
Celta Vigo have now lost in four consecutive matches. The Club announced their decision to relieve Fran Escriba of his role as the Head Coach on Sunday.
The loss to Getafe now leaves Celta Vigo in the Relegation Zone and two points from safety after twelve Laliga games.
Fran Escriba recently managed Elche, Getafe and Villareal. He was appointed as Celta Vigo manager in March 2019, becoming Celta Vigo’s third manager in 2018/2019 season.
The 54 year old helped Celta Vigo to avoid relegation last season but has only managed two wins this season.
‘’Fran Escriba will not continue in charge of Celta. The Club would like to thank him and his coaching staff for their efforts and commitment and wish them success in the future.’’ Celta Vigo said in a statement.
