Harambee Stars beat Tanzania 1-0 in their opening match in 2019 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup at Lugogo Stadium in Kampala Uganda.
Bandari’s Abdalla Hassan took only four minutes to score Kenya’s only goal in his full national team debut.
The result left Kenya on top of Group B with three points. Sudan and Zanzibar drew 1-1 in a fixture that was played earlier on Sunday.
The result was a good revenge for Harambee Stars after recently being kicked out by Tanzania from the 2020 African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifiers.
Kenya will play Sudan in their second Group B match on Tuesday at 1.30PM before Zanzibar faces Tanzania at 4PM.
Monday’s fixtures
