Cameroon is now confident that they will have their infrastructure ready for AFCON which has been postponed to 2021. This is Africa’s biggest soccer championships.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) just postponed the event for one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
Now Cameroon feels that they have enough time to prepare for the matches. The country is confident that they will offer African youth a “memorable AFRICON.”
The event will now be held in January 2022 instead of the initial January 2021.
Cameroon had reported that important construction projects had been slowed down due to Covid-19 outbreak. The projects are in Yaonde and Douala.
