The British Ambassador to Iran, Rob Macaire, was arrested last night by Iranian authorities and was accused of incitement. According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the protesters were calling for Ayatollah RESIGNS and called for regime change.
The British ambassador to Tehran took photos as the protesters clashed with the police before he was arrested.
The Iranian regime cracked down on the protesters through throwing tear gas into the crowds to disperse them.
The protesters were not amused by the shooting down of a plane which resulted into the killing of 176 passengers on board.
The UK diplomat was present when protests started in front of Amir Kabir University in Tehran. The ambassador was put in detention and released after at least 1 hour.
British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab accused Iran of violating international law through arresting the British ambassador “without grounds.”
