For the first time since 1910, Britain was cloud free and this was the sunniest March since 1910. From the highlands of Scotland, green lowlands of Ireland a satellite picture shows British Isles clearly visible.

 

The photo was taken by European Space Agency (ESA) on April 2. This was England’s sunniest March since 1910.

 

The Copernicus Sentinel-3, the satellite that took the image measures the Earth’s oceans, rivers, land ice, land, sea ice as well as atmosphere around the planet.

 

On April 1, Met Office announced that England had enjoyed it’s sunniest March since records started. That was 185.8 hours of sunshine were recorded across England.
