Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is hoping that midfielder James Maddison will sign a new deal at the club amid links to Manchester United.
Maddison’s future has continued to dominate, with the midfielder a top transfer target for Manchester United.
The Red Devils are set to prise Maddison to Old Trafford at the end of the current campaign but Rodgers hopes the England International will sign a new deal at The King Power Stadium.
‘’Talks have been ongoing with the club and his representatives. I know the boy is very happy, he wants to be here and he sees this as the club he can develop at. I am hopeful it will be done.’’ Said Rodgers.
Maddison has scored 9 times in all competitions for Leicester City this season, with six of those goals coming in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old joined Leicester City from Norwich City in June 2018 and has established himself as one of the Premier League’s best attacking midfielders.
Leicester City will play against Norwich City in the Premier League on Friday.
