Borussia Dortmund beat FC Koln
Borussia Dortmund continued with an impressive start of their German Bundesliga campaign with a 3-1 victory over newly Promoted FC Koln at the RheinEnergie Stadion. Dortmund have made it two wins out of two Bundesliga matches.
FC Koln opening the scoring through Dominick Drexler in the 29th minute and headed into halftime 1-0 up. Jadon Sancho equalized in the 70th minute before Achraf Hakimi and Paco Alacer wrapped up the victory in the 86th and 94th minute respectively.
Borussia Dortmund dominated the game with an average ball possession of 74% compared to FC Koln’s 26.
The win ensures that Borussia Dortmund are still on top of the German Bundesliga table with six points. FC Koln are in the 15th position with zero points. FC Koln lost their opening Bundesliga fixture against Werder Bremen.
Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre is hoping to continue with good performances when his team will be playing Union Berlin next weekend.
