FIFA has asked three candidate for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to support South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe in the upcoming elections.
The incumbent, Ahmad Ahmad was banned for violation of FIFA’s ethical codes. This ban was later suspended by the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
