Bhushan Kumar was born on 27 November 1977 and by career he is an Indian filmmaker, composer and music producer. He currently chairs and is a managing director of Super Cassettes Industries Limited. This is the company which competes with Pewdiepie on YouTube.
Bhushan Kumar was born in India to the founder of T-Series named Gulshan Kumar and Sudesh Kumar Dua. In 2005, Kumar married Divya Khoslaat Kumar. They are blessed with one son who was born on October, 2011.
Kumar took over the running of T-Series (a music label) in 1997. This was after his father died and he was a second year at University pursuing Bachelors degree in Commerce. At that time he had no clue on what his father’s business was all about. He proceeded to become the Managing Director (MD) and Chairman of the family company.
Since he took over the management of the company, he has largely diversified its products and services. The company now deals with electronics, video/audio tapes, CDs as well as cassettes. The company is one of the largest film producers in Bollywood and it is responsible for making Indian Music popular abroad. This is one of the reasons why they were given an award by the Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council of India.
The company made a name by purchasing the rights to the sound tracks of music and recent films such as Chennai Express, Bodyguard,Ready, Tanu weds Manu, Lootera, Talaash, OUATIMD and Raaz 3 among others.
The company seems to be specializing in film and music sound tracks but early on it had set out into the business world by producing devotional albums to serve old people who had lost their eyesight and as a result would not read religious books.
Currently, T-Series has also ventured into the new media such as mobile, satellite radio, FM, online digital and producing films.
Through the company efforts, Bollywood music was able to reach 24 countries around the globe. This is how the Indian music and content reached the international market.
Film Production
After getting a sound footing in the Music industry, Bhushan Kumar entered into the film-making industry. Right from the beginning, the company produced great films which hit the market with a storm.
The company is known for successful hits such as Lucky: No Time for Love, Tum Bin, Ready, Patiala House, Darling, Karzzzz, Aashayein, Kajraare, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa among others.
