Besiktas chairman Ahmet Nur Cebi was among a spate of positive coronavirus tests in Turkish football.
Shortly after the club confirmed that 8 individuals had tested positive for the virus at the club, Besiktas confirmed that Cebi had returned a positive result.
The team has stopped training with the Turkey Super Lig set to return to action on 12th June.
A statement from Beskitas health official said: ‘’The follow up and treatment process of the people whose test results were positive has started immediately in line with the relevant procedures. ‘’
Fellow Super Lig club Kasimpasa also confirmed that two of their players tested positive for Covid-19.
