Barcelona trained on Friday for the first time since March as the team held their first individual session as part of La Liga’s four-phase plan to return to action.
Barcelona tested their players for Covid-19 on Wednesday and players were seen at Joan Gamper training complex conducting individual exercises.
All the players trained on Wednesday except forward Ousmane Dembele who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Individual training is the second phase of the league’s detailed protocol of returning to action designed to avoid players getting infected with the virus.
In the next two weeks, players will start training in small groups and later progress to full training before resuming matches.
La liga hopes to restart their games in June but the dates haven’t been decided.
With 11 rounds of fixtures remaining, FC Barcelona sit on top of the La liga table, 2 points ahead of second-placed Madrid.
Real Madrid are expected to resume training next week.
