Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix could be set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury to the medial collateral ligament of his left knee, the club confirmed on Monday.
The club revealed that the club-record signing had undergone tests at the University of Navarra Clinic, with the results showing he had suffered a low-grade sprain.
Atletico are hoping Felix will be ready for the resumption of La Liga, which looks set to restart on 11th June.
Felix has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Atletico since joining from Benfica. He has scored 6 times.
