Serie A side AS Roma will dedicate their first match following the Coronavirus pandemic to medical staff around the world. The club will set aside 5,000 free tickets to the medical workers.
Sport activities across the globe have been suspended due to the COVID – 19 crisis, with more than 650,000 cases confirmed.
The virus has claimed over 30,000 lives globally.
The Italian club will dedicate their first home game when football resumes to honour and celebrate the medical staff who have been on the frontline to fight the deadly Coronavirus.
AS Roma president James Pallota said: ‘’It is impossible to overstate just how much we appreciate the work of the medical staff in Italy and around the world.’’
