Tottenham coach, Antonio Conte was fined £15,000 penalty while Chelsea Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel was fined £35,000 fine and suspended from attending one game at the touchline for their confrontation during a game between their two clubs.
An independent regulatory commission found Tuchel was found to be more guilty which led to the post-match fight between the two coaches on August 14 at Stamford Bridge.
Conte and Tuchel were issued red cards and then they quarreled as they shook hands.
Tuchel accused Conte of refusing to look him in the eyes during the handshake.
Chelsea Boss was issued with a bigger penalty of £35,000 compared to Conte’s £15,000. The two violated FA Rule E3.
‘Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte admitted that their behavior after the final whistle of the Premier League game between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022 was improper, and both managers requested a paper hearing.’
‘These sanctions are subject to appeal, and Thomas Tuchel’s one match touchline ban has been suspended temporarily pending the independent Regulatory Commission’s written reasons for its decisions that will be made available in due course.’
