Andrew Tate who is a controversial social media influencer has been ordered to remain under house arrest in Romania for an extra 30 days facing charges of forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women, rape and human trafficking.
Andrew Tate, 36, and Tristan Tate, 34, both have dual UK-US citizens, are being investigated after it was alleged that they exploited women.
The two brothers have denied the charges leveled against them. Earlier this week the two appeared before a judge in Bucharest where they stay currently. As he entered court, Andrew told media that he ‘believed in God and Justice.’
Andrew Tate believes that the charges they are facing are ‘trumped up and part of a conspiracy by the Matrix to target rich, influential men.’
Georgiana Nagel and Luana Radu are two women who are jointly charged with Andrew and his brother on Wednesday for 90 minutes.
‘If I was a transsexual the USA embassy would have instantly taken me out of jail and harshly condemned Romania for being transphobic.’ Andrew twitted condemning diplomats.
‘All four defendants will remain under house arrest until further checks but for no longer than 30 days,’ Bucharest court ruled.
‘The judge checked the legality and the reliability of the house arrest and decided it was legal,’ A source from prosecution said.
‘Pain and suffering for breakfast.’ Andrew Tate twitted following the court ruling.
As part of the investigations, the court ordered the seizure of assets including 14 luxury watches, 15 super cars such as Aston Martin, Ferrari 812 Superfast, Rolls Royce McLaren and Bugatti Chiron and £440,000 in cryptocurrency.
The two brothers live in a compound with tight security and are believed to have £10 million in wealth. Authorities in Bucharest believe part of the money was made from sexually explicit videos.
