Okiya Omtata petition 2022 has revealed that no presidential candidate achieved the 50%+1 thresh-hold. All the candidate including the President elect had less than 50% of the total votes cast.

The Okiya Omtata presidential petition 2022 has revealed that no presidential candidate achieved the 50%+1 thresh-hold. also argues there was a mathematical miscalculation that led to errors in the total number of voters. He claims that up to 140,138 votes were not included in the presidential results.

The total number of voters in the National Voters Register in Kenya added up to 22,120,458. The valid votes accumulated to 14,213,027 while invalid votes added up to 113,614. Adding the invalid and valid votes, this gives voter turnout of 14,326,641.

Comparing the voter turnout to the total registered voters, voter turnout becomes 64.77%. But with regards to Chebukati’s 65.4% of voter turnout, there are some 140,138 votes left out untallied.

Okiya Omtatah then added the untallied votes to Chebukati’s total voter turnout of 14,213,027. This added up to 14,353,165 valid votes.

When he did his personal calculations, he found the four presidential candidates garnering less than 50%. William Ruto (49.99%), Raila Odinga (48.37%),David Waihiga (0.22%) and George Wajackoyah (0.43%).
